I saw Jim once a few years ago in Minneapolis, before the pandemic. He played brilliantly, of course. I bought an album and a CD from him and spoke with him a bit: just the nicest guy in the world! I've been listening to him since the late '90s. I think that he's one of the greatest guitarists ever.

This is such a great video. Im here after the diss drama and tbh ive never heard Kendrick before (other than the recent diss songs). So in a way this is also my first time listening to his work. Incredible stuff. I dont think ive heard such genuine music and good art in a long time. It truly makes me feel alive and good.

When I was a kid, I saw purple rain twice in the movie theaters in 1984 when I was eight, my mother took me to the mall to buy the soundtrack! I knew then that whatever that was I wanted it, I bought 1999, purple rain, around the world, parade, sign of the Times, Love, sexy and, Batman soundtrack on vinyl! After that, it was all bought on CDs! Without I cannot tell my story as a person that is how much he has influenced me! And I wish I understood exactly what you mean with an F sharp or the Dorian Because when I saw that man on stage at eight years old, all I knew is that is what I wanted to be! I was lucky enough after a concert in 2004 in Dallas to go to an Afterparty watching perform 15 feet in front of me, and then shake his hand as he went out and walked into his limo, to this day that is the biggest bucket list checkmark that I have ever achieved perhaps only my daughter can eclipse that moment he was my childhood hero, and he is worthy of any and all praise that anyone wants to heap upon him because he did it all himself! He really didn’t need anything from anyone except for an engineer to press the record button and that’s it, took over after that and took over indeed he did! Everyone remembers where they were in 2016 when they heard of his passing, I thought he would outlive me Even though I am 18 years younger! I miss him every day yet. He is a huge inspiration to me in which I try to pass on to my daughter to this very day. Sincerely, a one-man band! How we miss you, Prince Rogers Nelson, I hope we shall meet again one day! Thank you for your breakdown of his rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame performance! May you live to see the dawn!

Great video man. Your takeaway was valid, but notice that all of the people whose face he took have either been publicly disgraced or died. This was a bonus track on an album in which he dragged his own name through the dirt and rejected the pedestal on which his fans put him. He's coming to terms with the fact that despite his fame and wealth he cannot please or save everyone, so he's choosing to instead work on his own mental health issues and be there for his family.
